One man's quest for true health reform

One man's quest for true health care reform

If ever there was a man set out on a mission its this man. His name is Dr. Raj Gandhi, his mission is to reform health care. He has written a book called “Sense of Direction, It Needs to be Restored, Health Care.” His mission is to get people to take action, individually, collectively and massively. Why? Because if we don't, health care will be the burden that will be on our backs for generations to come.

This book is a must read. It will open your eyes as to what has happened over that last 30-40 years that has put this nation into a tail spin to where it is today. I've read this book but find my words inadequate to express my opinion, so I have quoted several reviews from medical doctors and editorial reviews. I couldn't have written it better if I tried.

“This book is critically timely in addressing the severely compounded problems facing health care system in the USA that is probably the most expensive in the world,” Dr. Raj K. Gandhi has used his precise surgical thought process and global clinical / surgical expertise to dissect all of the key elements ailing our healthcare system. His narration of actual episodes and cases in an easy to understand language that keeps even a lay reader engaged, in spite of the cited medical terminologies that too are well explained, provides convincing evidence of the ills that have eroded our healthcare over the years.” Dr. Pushkar Kual, Professor Biological Sciences, Clark University, Atlanta

From the San Francisco Book Review, “Progressing through the chapters, the writing becomes more technical and reads rather like a medical journal, insurance claim, and legislative materials all wrapped into one. The subject is such a highly heated, debated, and relevant reality that it is refreshing to see not only an honest depiction at the travesty of our health-care approaches and the way our citizens are treated (or rather, left untreated), but also a thought-provoking and genuine attempt at a real solution.
In chapter 7, Sense of Direction, Dr. Gandhi has given precise statement of the problems as well as their solutions. The solutions to each of the problems are skillfully formulated, along with their rationales....adequate enough to convince the reader of the validity of his proposed solutions that must be adopted by the federal government and all other agencies involved, in order to restore our healthcare system.”

My favorite part is where Dr. Gandhi writes about seven true life stories that sets the basis for why this book is written. Two of the stories are about Mrs. Dhareyecow and Willy Joe which filled me with agony and angst as I learned what happens between doctor and patient relationships from admittance to paying the bill. I truly believe that what Dr. Gandhi has put into print deserves our fullest attention. I look for it to become a “best seller“ soon.
Unfortunately this book is not available at our local Wal-mart but is available through the larger book stores or Amazon and his web site.
